If you think doing good things will get you into heaven, think again! |

Millions of people around the world daily perform acts of kindness and charity, many of them believing that someday these good works will gain them access to heaven. In essence, they believe that right standing with God is something they can earn. But what does the Word of God have to say about this all-important subject? |

| EPHESIANS 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT OF GOD; not a result of works, that no one should boast." |

ROMANS 4:4-5,16 "Now to the one who works, his wage is not considered as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is considered as righteousness... For this reason it is by faith, that it might be in accordance with grace"
Salvation from our sins is a gift from God - something we CANNOT earn, for the price is too high! No matter how many good deeds a person might be able to do, he could never erase the guilt of sins he had already committed. |

| JAMES 2:10 "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become GUILTY OF ALL." |

GALATIANS 2:16 "Nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Christ Jesus... since by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Those who put their faith (deep abiding trust) in Christ's death on their behalf for the full payment and pardon of their sins become heirs of His eternal life and joy. |

TITUS 3:7 "That being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
God has once and for all settled our redemption and forgiveness by the blood of His cross - and will give eternal life to anyone in the name of Jesus. |

ACTS 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."
But we only receive the gift of salvation on HIS TERMS! |

| JOHN 11:25-26 (Jesus said) "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me, even though he dies, yet shall he live; and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" |

JOHN 3:18 "He that believes in Him is not condemned; but he that does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
We must REPENT, or change our heart and mind, and turn from sin - no longer wanting to live in it. |

| MATTHEW 4:17 "...Jesus began to preach and say, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'"

ACTS 3:19 "Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
